Purpose
The policy’s goal is to lay out the steps a customer must take in the event of a returned product, as well as the criteria that must be completed in order for a product to be accepted as a return by Boston Country Meats.
Policy
We have the right to amend these Terms at any time, so please review them frequently. Each of the Services will link to the most recent version of the Terms (together with their effective date). You accept all changes if you continue to use the Services after we alter the Terms.
- If a consumer has a complaint or complement for Boston Country Meats, he or she must write an email to sales@bostoncountry.co.za. An automatic response with a form will be provided, which must be completed and returned to sales@bostoncountry.co.za.
- All Boston Country Meats goods must be stored according to the instructions on the label or as described here (for quarters and lamb carcasses). To ensure product safety and shelf life, the cold chain must be maintained at all times. Refrigerated foodstuffs should be kept at 1°C, whereas frozen products should be kept at -18°C.
- In the event that the product has been subjected to excessive temperatures , Boston Country Meats will not be held liable for any damages incurred.
- Any fresh offal that has been removed from the premises cannot be returned.
- The validity of the product return policy varies by product (see below), and it is the client's responsibility to either return the product within the stipulated time frame or contact the sales representative to arrange for collection within that time frame.
- Within 5 days of purchase, mince and portions must be returned.
- Products that have been processed must be returned within 2 days after purchase.
- Lamb carcasses and quarters must be returned within 1 day after purchase.
- Any fresh offal that has been removed from the premises cannot be returned.
- If any of the aforementioned requirements were not met, BostonCountry Meats may refuse to examine the claim.
Process to be followed when returning product:
- Returning the merchandise to Boston Country Meats is the at the customer's expense.It is the customer's obligation to return the product and not that of Boston Country Meats (or unless approved by the General Manager).
- The returned product must be in its original, unopened packaging and contain product traceability information, such as the original Boston Country Meats label/serial number.
- All claims must be accompanied by proof of purchase (receipt/invoice).

- If the claim is genuine, the refund will be made in the same manner as the original payment, for example, if the product was purchased in cash, the refund will be made in cash.
- Management reserves the right to replace, refund, partially refund, or reject any claim at its sole discretion.
- Customers who make purchases over the internet agree to the terms and conditions listed above.
